Role Summary
As the Head of MGA, reporting directly to the Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), you are the primary architect of the Allianz MGA strategy. You hold full P&C P&L responsibility and serve as a senior leader ensuring the profitable expansion of our MGA portfolio. By bridging the gap between high-level strategy and operational discipline, you will initiate and execute growth actions in close collaboration with the Head of Sales and Head of Underwriting. Your role is pivotal in safeguarding audit standards, maintaining MGA protocol compliance, and representing Allianz as a recognized leader in the market.

Your Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a profitable P&C growth strategy and a revised governance model focused on disciplined performance and cost management.
- Portfolio Optimisation: Drive data-driven MGA portfolio analysis with increased reporting granularity to identify market opportunities and improve broker satisfaction in line with NPS targets.
- Operational Excellence: Execute growth actions aligned with the Allianz Standards of Underwriting (ASU) and oversee the planning process for the MGA segment.
- Governance & Compliance: Safeguard audit results and MGA protocol compliance; decide on MGA appointments including Life, Income, and P&C lines.
- Market Representation: Act as the primary Allianz point of contact in market forums (e.g., NVGA) and represent the CUO within the P&C Executive Committee.
- People Management: Lead, coach, and develop the MGA team to ensure sustained high performance and proactive collaboration across functional areas.
- Technical Oversight: Secure the implementation of standard underwriting and pricing rule engines for Retail, SME, and Income segments.
Your Profile
We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader with a system-optimiser mindset and a deep understanding of the MGA ecosystem.
- Experience: Between 5 to 10 years of experience in a management position within the relevant MGA or P&C segment.
- Education: You hold a Master’s degree and the mandatory MGA certification (diploma gevolmachtigd agent).
- Technical Expertise: A successful track record in strategic planning, financial steering (KPIs), and risk assessment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead direct teams and influence stakeholders within a complex, matrixed multinational environment.
- Analytical Rigour: Strong command of data-driven analysis and the ability to translate financial data into clear management insights.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact effectively with Local and Regional Boards.
