Job Description

APG Asset Management Amsterdam is looking to hire a Quant Developer to join the Real Estate investment team. Reporting to the head of Research & Analytics Real Estate, the role is a pivotal element both in the further development of an award winning global Real Estate analytics platform and the investment process for a 50bn Real Estate portfolio. • Build and maintain robust data pipelines and applications that effectively leverage Databricks.
  • Translate research into scalable, low maintenance information products.
  • Ensure system stability, data accuracy, and model transparency.

Job Requirements

This role requires not only strong technical capabilities but also the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across regions. Success in this position depends as much on collaboration and communication as it does on coding and analytics.

Soft Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical and statistical reasoning.
  • Effective communicator and team collaborator.
  • Detail-oriented with a growth mindset and interest in infrastructure investing.

Technical Skills

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in quantitative disciplines (Math, Stats, CS).
  • At least 5-8 years of relevant working experience in data engineering and analytics.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Git, and clean coding practices.
  • Experience with Databricks, Power BI, LLMs, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices.

Why join our team?

  • Be part of a tightknit, forward-thinking team spread across EU, US and Asia shaping the future of real estate investing.
  • Get your hands on alternative datasets inaccessible for the capital markets audience.
  • Take full ownership of the development of information products end-to-end.
  • Thrive in a culture based on meritocracy that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
