What will you be doing? 

As a manager in the public sector, you will contribute to strengthening risk management within public organizations. You will advise at policy level and, among other things, guide technology-driven transformations. Additionally, you will investigate client issues and leverage technological developments to come up with the most efficient solutions. You will foster team growth through coaching and collaboration on projects. In this role, your leadership skills and innovative thinking are appreciated and encouraged. 

An example of one of the challenges you will work on is guiding a ministry in modernizing their IT environment, including the migration from an outdated ERP system to a modern one. You will ensure structure, risk control, and appropriate measures while advising and coaching the client in the new way of working. 

Other activities include: 

  • Implementing control frameworks and development strategies; 
  • Optimizing governance processes for strategic objectives; 
  • Establishing and testing internal control measures; 
  • Leading project teams during transformations; 
  • Keeping up to date with the latest digital trends and market developments.   

Does this describe you? 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven manager with experience in risk management and compliance within the public sector. You are familiar with the culture and challenges typical of public organizations and are skilled in navigating these complex governing environments. Additionally, you have a strong affinity for data, technology, and innovation. You are an inspiring leader who communicates effectively with diverse audiences. 

Additionally, you have: 

  • At least 6 years of experience in risk management within the public sector; 
  • A completed WO master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, BIM, Finance, or a related field; 
  • It is a plus if you hold a RE, RC, RA, or RO title; 
  • Experience with GRC tooling and/or audit activities is a plus; 
  • You speak and write fluent Dutch and English.
